Meetings

Regular Lodge Meetings

The Royds Lodge meets eight times each year, on the third Thursday of the month from October to May inclusive. The Ceremony of Installation takes place on the third Thursday in May.

Our meetings are open to the members of the Lodge, their invited Masonic guests and other Masonic visitors.

Every regular meeting is followed by a formal dinner, known as the Festive Board, held in the dining room of the Masonic Hall, where members of the Lodge, their guests and visitors enjoy good food, quality wine and stimulating conversation.

If you are a Freemason and and would like to visit our Lodge, please contact us. We would be delighted to welcome you!

Lodge of Instruction

The Royds Lodge of Instruction provides junior members with the opportunity to rehearse the roles of the Lodge officers, under the guidance of more experienced members. The Lodge of Instruction is a place for Masonic education, where lectures are presented and guidance offered, with the aim of developing a greater understanding of Freemasonry. Membership of the Royds Lodge of Instruction is open to all members of The Royds Lodge.

The Royds Lodge of Instruction meets seven times each year, on the fourth Monday of the month from September to April inclusive, but excluding December. The Lodge of Instruction opens at 7.30 pm.

The Royds Lodge of Instruction Annual General Meeting is held at 7.00 pm on the fourth Monday in January.

The Royds Lodge of Instruction Festival is held at 7.00 pm on the forth Monday in March.

Rehearsals

Officers of The Royds Lodge are required to attend a rehearsal prior to each regular meeting. The rehearsals allow the officers to perfect their duties, thus ensuring the business of the Lodge is transacted in a professional manner.

Rehearsals are held at 7.30 pm on the Monday preceding the regular Lodge meeting.
